Job Description

Due to continued growth in the energy sector, we are expanding our Transmission & Distribution team and are seeking an additional project manager to join our Wellington office.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Support the delivery of transmission & distribution projects for public and private sector clients, including managing timelines, budgets and deliverables to prevent delays, bottlenecks, and ensure client expectations are consistently met and exceeded.

  • Ensure resource availability across projects to maximise productivity, proactively manage client expectations and address issues to guarantee timely project delivery.

  • Maintain and enhance our national transmission & distribution resource tool by gathering feedback from project and people managers for continuous improvement in collaboration with the ICT team.

Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or an industry-recognised project management qualification with an engineering background.

  • At least 3 years of professional project management experience within the energy sector, ideally within New Zealand.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships while delivering results under tight timeframes.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in construction management or EPC contracts is advantageous.
