Job Description

Client Account Managers are the primary contacts for AECOM's relationships with accounts which are strategically important at a regional, business line or global level. They have responsibility for developing, growing and sustaining our business with their client(s), working across our company to offer solutions that deliver, using all our relevant capabilities and local and global expertise. Bringing the best of AECOM to the client, on time, every time.

Job Summary

AECOM Technical Services, National Governments, is looking for a Vice President DOE Business Development who is accountable for working with Business Line Lead to strategically identify, evaluate, and secure new DOE business opportunities. The role will focus on fostering and maintaining strong relationships with potential customers, partners, and key stakeholders. The Vice President Business Development will collaborate closely with our regions, business lines and executive leadership to design and execute growth strategies aligning with the organization’s strategic goals.

This position offers flexibility for hybrid or remote work schedules and can be based from a variety of US locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a DOE business development strategy aligned with the company’s goals for revenue, margin and growth.

  • Manages business development activities for Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 market segment and captures new business for management, engineering, and/or field projects, to ensure continued company financial health.

  • Identifies new business opportunities through customer and industry contacts.

  • Builds successful business relationships by delivering a value proposition that is attractive to both customers and prospective business partners.

  • Develops, maintains and builds a strong professional network and customer relationships.

  • Coordinates company resources in the pursuit and capture of new DOE work.

  • Develops capture plans for specific targets that address opportunities, preferred approaches, competitive analyses and business fundamentals.

  • Identifies teaming partners, develops teaming agreements and obtains appropriate internal support and approvals.

  • Negotiates teaming agreements, scopes of work, contract types and business models that are consistent with the company’s risk profile and that result in favorable financial outcomes.

  • Manages Business Development budget.

  • Manages and supports proposal activities in winning new DOE contracts for AECOM.

  • Coordinates with regional and business line leaders within operations functions in developing proposals.

  • Responsible for obtaining necessary operational and regional approvals for all proposals prior to their submittal.

  • Communicates and engages company technical experts and operations personnel to develop solutions to customer challenges

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS plus at least 12 years of relevant combined business development and industry related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including at least 4 years of leadership experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of DOE experience in business development

  • Strong experience in the nuclear industry with good knowledge of DOE needs related to waste management/treatment, used fuel management and nuclear energy, and A/E services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a relevant scientific discipline

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $200,000.00 - $275,000.00.
