Job Description
We are looking for an experienced consultant in social value responsible for supporting our clients to deliver improved and measurable outcomes for society. You will pay a key role in supporting the delivery of social value on existing projects and developing our social value capabilities to support future projects and work winning.
The Social Value Consultant role will sit within the Economics & Economics Development (EED) Team as part AECOM’s Buildings and Places business. The EED Team works across a range of business sectors including energy, nuclear, transport, water, residential, commercial and regeneration and has worked on several major infrastructure projects such as High Speed Two, Heathrow Airport, Sizewell C and A303 Stonehenge.
Key Responsibilities
Social Value Lead across multiple infrastructure projects
Development of social value strategies to deliver on client social value objectives
Development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to enable clients to track and assess performance against social value targets
Oversee the production of client ready social value reporting
Managing day-to-day client relationships and where relevant, third-party contractors and other stakeholders
Providing guidance and insight to clients to enhance social value delivery on projects, and sharing best practice
Understanding of procurement process in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects and associated social value opportunities
Developing new social value work winning opportunities including undertaking business development activities and supporting preparation of proposals
Qualifications
Key Experience and Skills
Proven experience gained within a consultancy or client organisation with a focus on social value work
Strong project management skills and ability to lead small teams to deliver social value requirements on projects
Data analysis, management and presentation skills (strong Excel skills, and experience working with Social Value Portal TOMs System would be an advantage)
Excellent presentation and communication skills including experience of leading and chairing meetings
