Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Town Planner who has demonstrated experience and proven ability in leading and contributing towards this range of exciting projects. The successful candidate will have a passion for cities and be keen to work in a collaborative environment with our team of town planners, landscape architects and architects, and a range of scientists and engineers across the business.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is wanting to accelerate their career and grow their technical and professional skills across a range of development and infrastructure projects.
How you’ll make a difference:
Use your knowledge and technical experience to interpret and apply planning legislation and planning schemes across a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, standalone planning advisory projects and technical studies.
Lead various strategic planning projects across regional planning initiatives, precinct and master planning by providing technical oversight and ensuring projects run to schedule and budget, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients.
In your client-facing role, deliver high-quality project outcomes and generate future business for the local planning team. Actively participate in the development of high-quality fee proposals and bids.
Qualifications

The qualities that help you thrive:
Degree in Town/Urban Planning (or similar) with, ideally 6 + years strategic town planning experience for a consultancy or Government Department (or both).
Demonstrated experience in preparation of planning strategies, planning schemes / policies, business cases and development applications.
Ability to play a key part in multi-disciplinary project teams by working collaboratively and operating outside your comfort zone to explore new, innovative concepts and techniques when providing solutions to our clients.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
Digitally proficient in the MS Office Suite with experience in ArcGIS and Adobe Create Suite (advantageous, not essential).
