Job Description
The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, talented Water Treatment Plant Engineer, with a focus in water treatment plant operations and commissioning, in our Ft Lauderdale office. This role within AECOM offers an exciting opportunity to support the Water team in South Florida by working on the new Prospect Lake Clean Water Center (PLCWC) 50 MGD water treatment plant using the latest technology in Water Treatment being constructed for the City of Ft Lauderdale.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General water treatment plant experience including start-up, reverse osmosis units, cartridge filters, multimedia filters, ion exchange resins, degsifiers, pumps, chemical feed equipment, etc.
Working closely with a Principal Engineer who is a technical expert on Reverse Osmosis with an opportunity to train and expand knowledge in the field.
Communicates project tasks between offices with a high level of coordination and communication skills.
Responsibilities will include review of project plans and specifications and oversight of PLCWC start-up and Commissioning.
Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS Engineering Degree + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education.
4 +years of experience in water treatment plant process, construction and operations experience.
Proven experience in water treatment processes and systems (e.g., filtration, sedimentation, disinfection, reverse osmosis).
Demonstrated ability to analyze technical data and propose effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
8 years of progressive experience in water treatment process, construction, operation, design and site inspection services .
Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals
Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams
A demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water and wastewater projects.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $80,000.00 - $120,000.00.
