Job Description
AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Quality Control professional to join our team in Chicago, IL.
The Quality Director serves as a resource to the project team.
The Quality Director participates in submittal and shop drawing reviews, initial trade pre-construction meetings, trade pre-installation meetings, and frequent job site walkthroughs and reporting.
Oversees the management of the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that AECOM quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained.
Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
May have budget responsibilities.
Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results.
In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and may not have direct reports.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- BA/BS Engineering, Architecture or related curriculum and 10 years of construction Quality Control experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management.
Knowledge of the various owner contract agreement terms for construction activities.
Good understanding of the construction delivery process.
Comfortable working with Construction Documents and Submittals.
Comfortable with interacting with Construction Team members and Tradespeople.
Work with the Trade Contractor’s Quality Team’s documentation and project-specific testing and/or inspection requirements.
Understanding of ASTM standards and knowledge of construction testing procedures.
Understanding of the multiple building codes and how to look up requirements
Experience in all construction-related trades.
MEP+FP knowledge is a plus.
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word).
Valid licsense to operate a motor vehicle.

Relocation is available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $145,481.00 - $269,139.00.
