Job Description
AECOM is seeking a creative an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead interdisciplinary building design projects within our Boston office serving the East Region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, design-focused environment, working on impactful projects in the Aviation and Federal market sectors.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle—from conceptual studies through full design and construction administration. You’ll lead diverse teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary client contact, managing daily communications, expectations, and relationships.
Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary teams throughout project design and delivery.
Develop project execution strategies, review contracts, and prepare fee proposals.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality across multiple complex projects.
Track project performance, identify and mitigate scope creep, delays, or quality issues.
Manage sub-consultants: define scope, negotiate fees, track deliverables and performance.
Oversee project documentation in compliance with AECOM’s project management framework.
Partner with Market Leaders and Project Approvers to ensure technical and design excellence, client satisfaction, and financial success.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture plus eight years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
10 years of project management experience in transportation, infrastructure, or Federal architectural projects and experience in project leadership on complex architectural projects.
NCARB Certification and LEED Accreditation.
Proficiency in Revit and other BIM tools.
Strong communication and presentation skills; adaptable to various audiences.
Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience working with Federal or public sector agencies.

Relocation is not available for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $140,000.00 - $150,000.00.
